In this demonstration of The Body Organization, Rita Harrison the developer of the Willow System works on the jaw (TMJ) and hip connection. Hip joints, knees and ankles can be greatly improved by releasing tension in the TMJ.

There are many scientific studies that support this connection between the jaw and hips, which provide a concrete scientific basis for this connecting tension within the jaw that is reflected in the pelvis or hips and visa versa.

The Jaw (TMJ)

Inevitably where there is tension in the jaw (TMJ), other muscles and muscle groups get involved and by the body compensating for the loss of structural integrity, you get pelvic instability, mid and lower back pain, hip socket tension, leg length discrepancies, knee and ankle problems, difficulty in breathing, groin pain, shoulder pain, difficulties in standing and walking, excessive muscle tension throughout the body and even headaches or dizziness.
