Who is Rita Harrison? Her story begins long before her birth in a 3rd world country of the former USSR called Kyrgyzstan.
As the Germans marched through Europe in the Second World War her father was persuaded to join the German Army with a gun to his head and then sent off to fight on the Russian front, leaving a wife and child behind him, who were later told he was dead.
At the end of the war he was imprisoned in a Russian concentration camp (**Russian gulags) for 20 years until 1964.
Rita's mother, his second wife had much the same story spending 13 years in a labor camp in the Ural.
All of Rita's ancestors were either imprisoned, tortured, exterminated, persecuted, or thrown out of their homes, where their possessions were confiscated by the state or corrupt local officials.
Rita experienced very early in her life that there's always a way to make a difference and to raise the quality of life, when her parents managed to get out of the USSR in 1966 at a time when it was considered to be impossible.
This drive to break free is in her genes. Rita and her sister were the first in this family to have the opportunity to grow up in an environment that could provide independence, freedom and peace, but at that time she was unable to perceive it.
Her core questions became:
- "Why do we take our own personal *prison cell with us wherever we go?"
- "How do we get out of it?"
She was driven to search for answers but neither science, medicine, psychology nor spirituality could provide real, satisfactory or lasting solutions.
Rita's life was falling apart and she began to feel lost, confused, lonely and helpless. This total breakdown turned into a break through when somebody told her that there was no path to follow, that she would have to lead the way.
Overwhelmed she asked:
- "How can a woman from a village in the 3rd world be expected to take this on?"
- And anyway:
- "I don't want to!"
- "I can't!"
- "I don't have a clue!"
- "I'm not up to this!"
But a point came when she couldn't ignore it anymore and started to combine and integrate everything she'd learnt into a system that finally delivered effective solutions to her questions.
This was the birth of The Willow System, which was originally designed for healing and rejuvenation but soon turned into a powerful method of finding healthy independence, freedom and peace.
Rita's story of courage is an example of taking strength from the negative and transforming it into power for the positive.
It shows that everyone can live the life they want!
